10 Cancelled Movies We Wish Had Been Made

8. X-Men Origins: Magneto

Following the release of the odious X-Men: The Last Stand, 20th Century Fox began planning a series of solo X-Men efforts, including X-Men Origins: Wolverine and a similarly titled piece focusing on the master of magnetism, Magneto. As it turned out, the Wolverine film would eventually emerge from development, featuring a cliche-riddled script and filled with unintentionally hilarious sequences (particularly the final fight). The Magneto focused film, however, quietly disappeared, although X-Men: First Class seemed to incorporate some elements of the Magneto backstory into the film. But all said and done, the allure of an epic Magneto plotline (which could trace his journey from the horrors of the concentration camps through the second part of the 20th Century) would have been, well, magnetic!

He loves fish tacos and misses the work of Heath Ledger and Jack Lemmon on a daily basis.
