10 Common Mistakes Comic Book Movies Make

9. Giving Characters Stupid Costumes

goblin fixed A lot of comic book characters have had a lot of different looks over their history. Even someone like the Joker, whose entire 'costume' is usually just make-up on his face and some raggedy clothes, has been remade many different times by the various actors who have played him. Sometimes, though, the wealth of choice or an iconic look just isn't enough and a new costumes needs to be made for a character to really shine on the big screen. Other times, we get nipples on the Batsuit and the Green Goblin looking like a Power Ranger villain. Considering Spider-Man came out a decade ago, the special effects are still great. Maybe that says something about the effects industry becoming more stable and the leaps not being as big and the early SFX, nothing can help the mockery that is the Green Goblin suit. It's just one example of costumes that even for the time they were made, have to raise some questions as to what the film-makers were thinking. The most recent offender of this has been Green Lantern who ended up looking like an invitee to a green themed masquerade ball.
