10. Gareth Evans and Jason Statham
After Gareth Evans' mega success with The Raid, it's only a matter of time until he comes over to America and is given the reigns of an action series. The perfect person to star in such series should it get made would be Jason Statham. Statham, like Evans' cast in The Raid is incredibly skilled at martial arts and does all his own stunts so that would be a natural fit. Statham, as his work in The Transporter shows, can be involved in some incredibly cool fight scenes given a good choreographer and director which is what Evans should give him and in return he gets a genuine star. Too often, Statham's talent gets wasted in boring action flicks that are loud and gaudy, but with some slick martial arts moves and a neat and simple premise (like The Raid), he can show everybody just what he's made of. Statham is the greatest current action hero but he's getting terribly wasted due to a lack of innovation and good American action directors, so a collaboration with Evans makes perfect sense for all involved.
