10 Famous Uncredited Roles You May Not Have Noticed

10. Kurt Russell - Forrest Gump

Paramount Pictures

Forrest Gump's stylised re-telling of modern American History encompasses everything from the moon landing to the Vietnam War as it follows its titular character on his inadvertent journey through some of the most famous events in American history. One such moment is his run-in with Elvis Presley who - according to the storyline's skewed version of history - saw boy-Forrest's leg braces as the inspiration for his famous 'Twitch' dance moves.

While onscreen, we see very little of Presley as he is often blurred out in the background, or hides his face in close up, which makes it difficult to tell that director Robert Zemeckis brought in grizzled Hollywood veteran Kurt Russell to lend his voice to the King. The actor was known to be a huge fan of Elvis, having already played him in a TV movie of the same name.

In a pleasantly circular revelation, It Happened At The World's Fair starring Presley, also happened to be Russell's first feature film at just 10 years old where his role was credited as 'Boy Kicking Mike' (Mike being Presley's character). He subsequently went on to star as a casino-robbing Elvis impersonator in 3000 Miles To Graceland, which leaves no doubt that he was the most qualified man to fill Zemeckis' role.
