10 Female Film Characters With The Morals Of An Alley Cat

9. The Last Seduction (1994) - Bridget Gregory

The Last Seduction Bridget Gregory is a woman utterly without morals - a scheming, devious sociopath. Throughout the movie, she uses men for her own gain and wraps them around her little finger before completely screwing them over. The star of the show is Linda Fiorentino who plays Bridget. Whether she is running off with her husband's drug dealing money, manipulating small town men to do her bidding and finally double crossing everyone and getting away with it! There is no comeuppance for Bridget, in fact she leaves the film in a better position than she started in. This is quite a pleasing turn of events in the film as the obvious thing to do would be to make her pay big time. But director John Dahl had the good idea to let her get away with everything, subverting viewer's expectations and underlining what an evil, immoral cow she is. If you want to watch a masterclass on how to portray an immoral woman, check out the neo noir The Last Seduction and watch Linda Fiorentino work her magic. As charming as a lioness pulling the guts out of a baby springbok.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
