10 Films Unfairly Rated R

9. To Rome With Love

To Rome With LoveRated R for some sexual references You could probably make this entire top 10 list out of films from Woody Allen€™s Filmography but we€™ll stick with just one recent example for now. This is an interesting selection because it actually adheres to PG-13 guidelines to a tee. It's not a violent film or anything dealing with heavy subject material. To Rome With Love is actually perfectly summarized by its title. The movie follows around the lives and relationships of those finding themselves in Rome. There€™s only one usage of the F bomb when two or on rare occasions even three are acceptable. To Rome With Love most likely gets its R rating from sexual dialogue though to which I say bull**** considering The Social Network depicts cocaine snorted off of half-naked woman yet is only PG-13. Keep in mind, this is just scattered dialogue and not anything physically sexual. E llen Page plays an Actress named Monica attempting to seduce her best friends boyfriend. She describes one sexual encounter in semi-explicit detail proclaiming the orgasm as incredible. The sexual dialogue is no more explicit than anything you would see on cable television. PG-13 seems like a more appropriate certification.
