10 Gaping Movie Plot Holes You Probably Never Noticed

1. Marty McFly The Stranger (Back To The Future)

Everybody knows the logical holes in Back To The Future - the McFlys should have remembered Marty enough to realise their son looks EXACTLY like him, or to question how a charlatan Calvin Klein got away with stealing their Calvin's underpants and becoming a millionaire. And of course there's the question of why Biff is allowed to work closely with the McFlys as a servant of some sort, despite having attempted rape on Lorraine. Forgive and forget eh? But the big question relating to the end of Back To The Future that is generally missed is how Marty manages to integrate with the new version of his family - all rich and good-looking - despite not knowing a thing about them. He knows they're basically the opposite of what they were in the original time-line, with good jobs and dependability, but he will have no idea how they ever got to that stage. Marty effectively has to live in a Stepford Wives hell with a version of his family that looks the same, but who are complete strangers, and attempt to fit in despite being a completely different person to the version of Marty these strangers are used to. Given the major differences in the McFly's life, and the greater available resources, there's very little chance they lived the same life, or even had the same ideals and principles. Who's to say Marty even liked rock music in his new privileged life? Who's to say he was even a slacker? And how would he explain his presumably erratic behaviour, or his constant questions regarding events he apparently lived through? Did we miss any obscure plot holes that always infuriate you?
