10 Great (But Unexpected) Uses Of Music In Movies

7. Heigh-Ho (Gremlins)

A wonderful but unexpected scene from Gremlins (which is, of course, a horror - a comedy horror, but a horror nonetheless) occurs when the little green critters congregate en masse in the local movie theatre. Having caused utter chaos and indeed killed several people in their brief existence, the troublesome creatures find themselves watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and being completely and utterly transfixed. When the cheerful little ditty Heigh-Ho starts playing, the gremlins join in gleefully and sing along with unrivalled enthusiasm. It makes for a charming and pleasantly surprising break from the mass hysteria that is otherwise associated with them.
