10 Great Comic Book Moments That Should Be In A Movie

8. The Death Of Barry Allen

Barry Allen Death It might sound a bit harsh to already be anticipating Barry Allen's death when the Flash hasn't even appeared in the movies yet, but his death* was just so epic. It occurs in the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, when the Anti-Monitor is attempting to destroy the entire universe. On his destructive mission, having brought with him an antimatter cannon to use to penetrate the Limbo universe and destroy the remaining five Earths that were left at the time, he is intervened by Allen. Allen opts to dismantle the Anti-Monitor's cannon all by himself. He had no help, so he did what he had to do in the only way it could be done under the circumstances - which meant travelling at immense speeds to do so - ageing him rapidly until he was no more. *Of course, Barry didn't actually turn out to be dead. He merely disappeared in to the speedforce, so the effect was later lost and leaving that bit out in the movie universe would have a much stronger impact.
