10 Greatest Bromances In The History Of Cinema

3. Peter & Sydney - I Love You, Man

When you call your buddy comedy I Love You, Man, you'd better be prepared to bring the bromance, and John Hamburg's movie has it in spades.

What's so great about Peter and Sydney's budding relationship is that we actually get to see how bromances start. Normally we're thrust into the middle of a friendship, when things are solid, stable, and natural. This time we get to watch Pistol Pete and "Joben" establish their bromantic language, and boy is it awkward in all the right ways.

Paul Rudd is as goofy as ever as a guy who struggles to find a best man for his wedding on account of his failure to make friends with other men over the course of his life. He's never really had a best friend, but with his wedding date fast approaching, he really needs to find another guy that he can call his BFF.

And that search, along with the sublimely weird yet wonderfully heartfelt interactions between Pete and Sydney that come along with it, makes for a unique bromantic endeavor.
