9. Furrypelts
Furrypelts is another tale of overcoming adversity. A princess is forced to live in squalor, concealing a beautiful face and talents beyond compare. She slowly reveals herself to be a beautiful princess to the King, and when they finally meet each other, she marries the King and lives happily ever after. How does this merit gruesome? The princess was living in squalor because she ran from her father. His wife had died, and apparently her daughter was just too pretty to pass up. Hiding oneself in a pelt of fur and muck, or marrying dear old dad? No real choice there.
