10 Hilarious Behind The Scenes Facts About The Worst Movies Ever

Popularized by a Mystery Science Theater episode, Manos: The Hands of Fate is certainly one of the strangest bad movies ever, with plenty of weird little touches that fill you with so many questions about the film's production.

One of the most perplexing is the opening scene, which consists of nearly 10 full minutes of the characters aimlessly driving along. There are excruciatingly long shots of the surrounding landscape as if this is straight from someone's camcorder after a long road trip, and it goes on and on and on. 

Supposedly what happened here was that there were going to be opening credits over this section, but director Harold P. Warren flat out forgot to add them. Either that or he ran out of money to do so, but either scenario is equally hilarious.

Going back to this opening section, it kind of helps it make more sense, and you can imagine the landscape shots being more acceptable with credits over them. But that still doesn't explain why there's ten full minutes of this, because there's no way that many people worked on this terrible film. Warren wrote, directed, produced and starred in the movie, so maybe the opening would have just been him crediting himself over and over.
