So, the credits have rolled on Paul Verhoevens iconic cyborg law enforcement flick RoboCop, and presumably-highly-satisfied audience members are starting to filter out of the cinema. Eagle eyed viewers who waited through the credits, though, are in for one last darkly comic moment. As you find on all films, a fairly standard legal warning pops up. This motion picture is protected under the laws of blah blah yada yada and so forth. But, just to check if anyone is still paying attention at this stage, Verhoeven then sneakily slips in a reference to the film thats just finished. Breaking the copyright rules of the film apparently may result in civil liability and criminal prosecution by enforcement droids. Yikes. Youd better not pirate this one, then, or RoboCop and his mates will be sent after you. Dead or alive, youll probably end up paying a fine of some sort.
