10 Huge Mistakes In Marvel's Cinematic Universe

7. Black Widow & Hawkeye (The Avengers)

The Avengers Though The Avengers was a fantastic film, there's one area that felt really malnourished and underdeveloped, and that's the two "lesser" Avengers, Black Widow and Hawkeye. Though some screen time is devoted to their past, on the whole they just feel like superfluous characters who don't really have a whole lot to do. The fact that they are so obviously under-powered - and, you know, human - compared to their team-mates makes them seem like second-string Avengers members; while The Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America all get moments to shine, it's hard to say the same for these two. Even Jeremy Renner himself said he was disappointed with the little he was given to do, so hopefully with The Avengers 2 - and the films leading into it - Joss Whedon will find a way to make them seem a little more interesting.
