10 Iconic Scenes That Completely Overshadow Their Movies

9. Up - Carl And Ellie's Life

upThe Scene: Soundtracked beautifully to Michael Giacchino's Oscar winning score this opening scene chronicles the journey of lovers Carl and Ellie, from their first meeting to Ellie's sad death. Why It Overshadows The Movie: This scene lasts 8 minutes and yet it still crafted a better love story than Twilight managed in 5 films. Ask anyone about this movie and they will most likely talk about how emotional they found the opening, yet question what they thought of the rest of the film and they may need a minute to remember what it was actually about. I like the next hour and 20 minutes but it never really manages to match what it opened with, becoming quite a typical animation film and never managing to match laughs/story/emotion quite like the Toy Story trilogy did, even if it did one last tug on your heart strings towards the end.
