10 Insane Movie Fan Theories That Sort Of Make Sense

9. Forrest Gump's Son Isn't His Son - Forrest Gump

forrest gump I€™ve only seen Forrest Gump one time in my life, and that was a long time ago. That being said, I remember it far clearer than a movie I€™ve seen a month ago, due to its profound impact on me. I saw it when I was young, and I see it as the number one movie anybody should see before they hit 13. It€™s brilliant, it€™s tragic, and it explains the concept of death in a better way than any parent could. However somebody somewhere thought that the best way to improve this wonderful gem is to make it even sadder, and in some sort of way they€™re very correct. The theory is that Forrest€™s (Tom Hanks) son (Haley Joel Osment), presented to him at the end of the film by his childhood sweetheart Jenny (Robin Wright), is not actually his son, as the movie would so have you believe. Jenny€™s character, like many in the 60s and 70s, when the movie was set, lived on the less respectable end of the social and sensual spectrum, and it is a very easy possibility that Forrest Jr. is not actually the Jr. of Forrest. This makes even more sense when the widely thought of disease that Jenny dies from in the tragic end is AIDS, and puts a spin on this tear-jerker that still keeps true the integrity of this absolutely magical film but also makes it more real in a way.
