This is because the Schumacher duo are seen as films about Batman within the Tim Burton Batman universe as Mr. Wayne has become a joke within his own universe. This explains the more Hollywood nature of the two films and their tonal differences from the Burton films and their extremely heavy star power, with people like Jim Carrey and Arnold Schwarzenegger taking up roles in the films.
