10. Jiro Dreams Of Sushi (2012)
One of the more recent documentaries to make this list, Jiro Dreams Of Sushi follows the story of Jiro Ono and the day-to-day management of his Michelin three-star sushi restaurant Sukiyabashi Jiro. Released in 2012 to critical praise, the film chronicles the life of Jiro from a young boy through to adulthood and examines the emotional consequences of his unending journey to perfect the art of sushi. Though the principle subject of the film is raw fish (which might admittedly be a niche interest), theres still plenty of material to find inspirational. Jiros ambition and drive for success despite his disadvantaged start is compelling stuff, not to mention the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into the preparation of his sushi.
