Lois will help bring Superman back into the fold, but also at the cost of her own life, being struck down by Steppenwolf or one of his lackeys in the final battle.

Expect an emotionally devastating sequence that probably makes more than a few nods to Lois' "death" in the 1978 movie, but this time, there's no Superman flying around the world to bring her back.

Instead, The Flash will use his time travel powers to save Lois, even though using it in two significant scenes in a single movie has the potential to make the character seem rather overpowered.

It will hopefully play out as a fun nod to the original Donner movie even if everyone ultimately knows they wouldn't dare kill off Lois for good anyway.
