The big-screen Batman news has been coming thick and fast over the last couple of weeks, first with the release of a monochromatic picture of Ben Affleck in costume and then with the confirmation that the movie's questionable official title is going to be Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Remember when they were going to make a straight-up Man of Steel sequel? Yeah, us neither. The release of the first official picture of Affleck in costume has created quite the buzz, of course, which has been surprisingly positive given the vitriol that followed the initial casting announcement. It seems as though the costume is inspired by Frank Miller's work on The Dark Knight Returns, something that was almost confirmed by all-round pop culture enthusiast and Affleck buddy Kevin Smith.
