9. Tram Collides With Car, Bursts Into Flames - The Rock
It didn't take long for a Michael Bay film to make this list, did it? Arguably his best work, The Rock also features the most ludicrously physics-defying moment of all, adhering to the action movie cliche that
anything that can burst into flames will. The scene in question has a tram become knocked off its tracks, and it begins sliding freely down a San Francisco street, before it eventually collides with a parked car, spontaneously combusting into an elephantine fireball. Though the resulting explosion
looks awesome, it's also totally effing ridiculous; how does a minor crash between two vehicles cause them both to explode so violently? Furthermore, after the tram has been catapulted about 30 feet into the air, it lands and
continues to slide towards a sports car, which it then decimates, just because, well, Michael Bay.
