10 Marvel Cinematic Universe Characters We Wouldn't Mind Being Recast

10. Jeffrey Dean Morgan Replacing Samuel L. Jackson As Nick Fury

Fury 0

Nick Fury is an interesting character, that most of the time is brooding in the shadows, and reveals very little of his personal agenda. He usually masterminds strategies and slowly implements subtle actions to get this agenda achieved, which makes him a very important character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he is seldom understated. If a change were to occur, recasting him to the Civil War version of Nick Fury; who is much more direct and specific to action, Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be the perfect fit. He's played characters like this before, even if it was a far darker variation of the same type of personality.

Combine the look, the attitude, and some of the original story line and you have possibly a perfect version of Nick Fury; making David Hasselhoff cringe at the notion he ever was the "Ultimate Nick Fury", even if Stan Lee said that to him in passing.

Samuel L. Jackson is a great Nick Fury, and while the expectation for him to yell at people being stupid with any number of expletives isn't really a requirement. He is known for his legendary presence on screen to be able to convey a message emphatically. We may all want to see this character returned to his origins, and give him a closer tone to who he really is.

I'm a writer, a published author, and editor for a small independent publishing house. I'm an award winning producer of independent media, and I get to edit books, screenplays, and comics in my day to day. I love working on independent film & games, during my down time, as well as reviewing films while gobbling down milk duds (it's an addiction, I know). I've been called "Geek-Prime" among my peers for all the fandoms I work in, and I wear that title proudly. It's a passion, and an exercise in my growing profession, to get to write about what I love. Which happens to be a little of everything. But mostly film, comics, horror, games, anime, literature, and life. I do write about academic material, like politics, medicine, physics, and mathematics too. But for the most part, I like to keep things down to earth and simple. Follow me on Twitter & Facebook
