When Hela invaded Asgard in Thor: Ragnarok, the Warriors Three were part of the welcoming committee and didn't come away from the encounter too well. Their presence in the film raised a massive question: where in the Nine Realms is Lady Sif?
Jaimie Alexander, the actress who plays the Norse warrior, has weighed in on this matter, telling Yahoo! Movies that she was asked to reprise her role but couldn't because of her commitments to the TV show Blindspot.
That's all well and good, but from a story perspective, her absence weighed heavy on Ragnarok and left the fans wondering whether she's still alive. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed Sif wasn't on Asgard when Hela invaded, but there's no signs of them finding a place for her in the MCU going forward.
Sif's last outing came in Agents of SHIELD in a storyline that saw her lose her memory during a battle with a Kree warrior. She had it restored thanks to Coulson and co. but it seems most of the folks at Marvel Studios have forgotten her.
