10 Massive Movie Predictions From The Past That Never Came True

9. 2012 - Apocalypse/End Of The World

2012-600x300 Although the filmmakers would probably try to blame the Mayans for the inaccuracy of this movie, they can never palm off its awfulness - that is all down to them. There have been many interpretations of the so called Mayan "end of the world" but this fetid waste product of a film decided to go for a more literal depiction of what it would actually look like if the world "ended." Of course, this didn't come to pass; 2012 came and went and we are all still here, the White House didn't get blown apart by a tidal wave and nobody had to unconvincingly fly a plane through a collapsing city. The general concept that a series of Earthquakes, coupled with the eruption of Yellowstone Nation Park's super-volcano all sort of happens at once is ridiculous, but it's okay because the super rich get into massive super arks to save themselves. So, that is two counts of gross mis-direction; no end of the world or super-boats, discounting those owned by Abramovich, of course. Useless film!
