10 Most Disappointing Sequels Ever

police_academy_7 If there is one thing that Hollywood loves more than remakes/reboots, it is sequels. Hollywood would marry sequels if it could. A typical conversation between the high powered folk at the major studios generally starts with the following statement, "Wow that film was great! MAKE TEN MORE EXACTLY LIKE THAT BUT WITH SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT PLOTS!" This is actually not the worst idea ever when it ends up with glorious film like Aliens, The Godfather Part II, The Empire Strikes Back, The Dark Knight and Police Academy 7: Mission To Moscow, but on more than one occasion a splendid film is cheapened by a rushed and massively inferior follow-up, those winning ingredients are mostly still there but for some reason the end result is just lame. Before we get down to the nitty gritty of listing things, a quick note, I haven't included Prometheus as it is a prequel and I have only just finished quite intensive therapy for how soul-destroyingly disappointing that film was and don't want to open up those wounds again. So without further ado, here are ten sequels that disappointed me more than England do at every major football tournament.
