9. Agent K - Men in Black 2
The first Men in Black film ends with Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) informing Agent J (Will Smith) that he hadn't spent the entirety of the film training him as a partner, but as a replacement, as he plans to retire. The second film, though a completely shallow mess of a sequel, at least got one thing right, and that's the introduction to K; when we first meet him here, he's working at a post office in Massachusetts, even decked out in his little postman shorts, believing that his time as an Agent was in fact a 35-year coma. Jones, a master straight-faced comedy actor, is superb during these brief scenes, as J shows up to try and snap him out of it by convincing him that his co-workers at the post office are, in fact, aliens. From here the film devolves into a turgid mess, but it still features this one great scene...
