10 Most Underrated Scenes In Star Wars

4. Raising The X-Wing

Those coming from the prequels to the original trilogy are unfortunate enough to have the power of this scene almost completely diminished - a shame, considering it's probably Yoda's single greatest moment. Without prior knowledge of the prequels, Yoda is still very much an unknown entity by The Empire Strikes Back - there's clearly years of experience behind him, but he's also a kook, an eccentric so frail that he must be carried around on Luke's back. Then comes Yoda's lesson to the young, volatile Luke - even he, so small, old and weak as he seems, has the ability to raise a spacecraft out of a swamp and plonk it calmly back on land. It's a mighty display of the potential of the force, but it's what the moment does for Yoda that's best: here we stop doubting his status as a master, and see years of knowledge in this 'ancient religion' in one effortless move.
