You know what, Twilight deserves a lot more praise than it ever gets. The books are not the trash they often accused of being (well, not entirely) and it's not Stephanie Meyer's fault they inspired that 50 Shades nonsense. The films are not quite as good, even if the first one is a stone cold banger (shut up, it IS), but they had an army of fans that propelled them to a $3.346 billion box office take.

And for those fans that stuck to the very end, Breaking Dawn was all about the final battle between The Cullens and The Voltari who were more than a little upset at the idea of a half-human/half-immortal child potentially destroying the Earth or something. Even with the final films being rather pedestrian, there was surely no way they could fudge vampire on vampire on werewolf action, right?

But Then...

The battle is actually pretty great, there are some brave decisions in there - like major characters being killed off who weren't killed in the book - and the spectacle matches the hype even after some of the build has been pretty dreary over the years.

And then it turns out it was all a vision in Alice's mind and no more than a ruse to convince Aro that the battle would end with his death. If you didn't smash your telly at that point, you have no right to call yourself a true emo.
