10 Movie Productions That Tragically Ended With Real Deaths

the dark knight ending Accidents happen. It€™s what we tell ourselves every time something bad occurs. Hey, accidents happen. In any situation, we put ourselves at risk for injury and death. Just getting into our cars to go to the grocery store exposes our fleshy bodies to the fact that death is all around us. We can catch an infection, get into car accidents, release a blood clot in our legs, or a piece of space debris can fall out of the sky and kill us instantly. Anything can happen to us at any time. Movie sets are no different. There is this idea implanted into our heads when we see movies that everything is fake, no one is really dead, and it helps us enjoy the movie more. However, when we hear that a cast member or crew member has died in an accident on the set, we are shocked and appalled that the accident could have even happened at all. Yes, accidents can be prevented, but sometimes stupidity overshadows responsibility and that€™s how people get hurt and, sometimes, end up dead. What is to follow is a list of ten movie productions that ended the life of one or more of their respective cast and crew. I could only recall three or so off the top of my head, but when I dove deeper into the history of film, I uncovered some truly shocking accounts of real tragedy on movie sets dating as far back as the 20s. I would like to take a moment now to dedicate this piece to all of those who have lost their lives, whether mentioned in this list or not, while working on movies we have all watched and loved throughout the history of cinema.
