10 Movie Spoilers We Didn’t Know Last Week (March 14th)

Is Brainiac coming?

It's been another huge week for movie news as the release dates of Batman v Superman and Captain America: Civil War draw ever-closer, but crucially we also learnt a little more about the future road map for the DC Extended Universe, found out that a beloved movie from last year will be getting a trilogy to its name, and the identity of the protagonist in the latest Christopher Nolan film, among much more. It's a damn exciting time to be a comic book fan - as the reaction to the second Civil War trailer proved - and generally to be a movie lover. And while the releases so far in 2016 haven't exactly turned too many heads (Deadpool aside), the impending release of 10 Cloverfield Lane and Batman V Superman should prove a turning point towards the tentpole releases that will take us into the busy summer season. Inevitably, news and theories tied to those films will start to gush forth as their releases draw nearer, but even now hot information is already hitting the web. Here are 10 movie spoilers we didn't know last week...

10. Commissioner Gordon Isn't Dead

We've all heard the rumours that Commissioner Gordon may be dead in the DC Extended Universe, but that was all put to bed this past week as it was announced that J.K. Simmons will be playing Gordon starting from Justice League: Part One. It's fantastic casting that nobody has apparently suggested or expected, and though it sadly means that he almost certainly won't be playing J. Jonah Jameson in any future Spider-Man movies, Simmons is probably one of the few actors who could live up to Gary Oldman's iconic portrayal of the character in the Christopher Nolan movies. We can't wait to see what he cooks up.
