10 Movies Great Actors Should Be Ashamed Of

photo08 Every actor makes a few bad movies. It's inevitable. Even the best of the best like Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson and Anthony Hopkins made countless flops and appeared in films they'd later regret. That's just part of being an actor. Many young actors appear in awful B-movies to get a break in the industry and many actors who fall into financial difficulty will appear in just about anything to pay the banks/tax man. But it's not all that common for an actor be appear in a movie he should be ashamed by. Actors even sometimes admit that they are ashamed for appearing in a certain movie. The likes of George Clooney, David Cross and even the charisma vacuum himself, Shia LaBeouf, have renounced films they have appeared in. With great actors such as the ones on this list, it is acceptable to expect more of them in regards to their choices and you certainly don't expect to see a great actor in a film he should be ashamed of. But that's sadly part of the business and the likes of Al Pacino and Nicolas Cage have wasted their great talent over the last decade on numerous films that they should be ashamed of participating in.

10. Christian Bale - Terminator Salvation

terminatorsalvation-302-38 Christian Bale's on set rant during the making of Terminator Salvation says more about his feelings on the film than anything. An incredibly intense individual at the best of times, it's impossible not to feel sorry for an actor that has to be directed by McG, let alone one as great as Bale who has worked with some of the best in the business such as Michael Mann, Terrence Malick and Werner Herzog. Terminator Salvation wasn't just a crushing disappointment, it was a genuinely bad film that had pretty much nothing going for it as Bale was mis-cast and Sam Worthington offered literally nothing to the proceedings. For an actor like Bale who takes his work very seriously, there's no way he doesn't feel ashamed of Terminator: Salvation.
