10 Movies That Were Pretty Much Just Video Games

8. Transformers

I actually like Michael Bay's first Transformers film, although Revenge of the Fallen stands out as one of only 3 films I've refused to watch to the end (and the third one... well, I avoided that like the plague). Despite this, though, the first Transformers movie is the film that led to the phrase "CGI porn" becoming a well-known label amongst this generation of filmmaking ventures. It's a label that's very well-deserved. Barely any development of the humans? Check. Story and continuity sacrificed for CGI alien robots fighting and destroying CGI buildings? Check. Yup, this is a video game - even the character models look like video game designs. In fact, they look so much like video game designs that they actually appeared more at home in the video game tie-in for the film than in the film itself. Although I can say that if you don't like the film, don't play the game: its awfulness will just make you madder.
