It's a simple fact of life: not everybody likes the same actors. After all, one man's Marlon Brando is another man's Rob Schneider (if you happen to be the man who prefers Rob Schneider... dude, what's wrong with you?). Still, one of the main reasons people tend to hate certain actors comes down to the movies they tend to appear in. Nobody said a thing about Nicolas Cage being a bad actor until his agent started suggesting that pretty much anything "could be sweet." Before that, he'd won an Oscar and was considered - by the majority of folk, anyway - to be rather good. But given that lots of actors spend their careers appearing in a particular "sort" of motion picture, it's easy to say: "Oh, I hate Steven Seagal movies," because all Steven Seagal movies are kind of the same. Occasionally, though, an unpopular - or not particularly well thought of - actor will take on a movie role of a different breed.
