10 Movies That Give Away The Ending In The Title

10. Lone Survivor

The Movie: Peter Berg€™s attempt at an apology for Battleship, Lone Survivor is the director€™s long gestating passion project and although it shows the numbing patriotism of the Transformers-clone was his own, it is altogether a more palatable affair. Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Ben Foster and Emile Hirsch (oh, can you guess which one of these four will be the titular character?) play a squad of Navy SEALs on a mission to Afghanistan. Things quickly go wrong and the team find themselves on the run from the Taliban. By the time the credits roll only Wahlberg remains (didn€™t see that coming). What The Title Gives Away: It€™s less the title and more the marketing. Yes, calling your movie Lone Survivor means we instantly know there€™s going to be a good serving of death, but does that excuse having all the marketing be full spreads of Marky Mark€™s mug? It injects a knowing tension into events, but really only serves to make the less well known actors feel like obligatory red shirts.
