10 Movies That Won't Be Outshined By Their Inevitable Reboots

10. Honey I Shrunk The Kids

moranishoneyishrunkthekids A reboot of Honey I Shrunk The Kids has been rumored for a few years now and it's thought that at some point Disney has plans to pull the trigger. Really it seems like a no brainer for anyone who wants to make money. Kids will want to go see it and their parents will surely want to take them due to the nostalgia factor. This is one reboot where today's technology could be a very useful tool in bringing the film to life. Where this original was somewhat limited back in the day this reboot wouldn't have as many restrictions. However that may not be a good thing either. Limited technology forced the original filmmakers to do more with less and in the end they created some pretty awesome special effects that are still impressive to this day. The innovation of the crew that worked on the original certainly made this film something special. Regardless of the technology that gets used or abused when it comes to a reboot thinking about the cast is where it gets really scary. Rick Moranis was the perfect geeky dad for this role. Who would fill his shoes today? Most likely when this gets remade you're looking at a movie starring someone along the lines of Steve Carell which after seeing Anchorman and The 40 Year Old Virgin seems a little creepy.
