Being that phases one and two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe gave us six and five films respectively, we can assume that phase three will offer roughly the same number (certainly not 10). Phase two brought about some obvious choices, like sequels to Thor and Captain America, but Marvel showed that they aren’t afraid to go out on a limb by throwing in Guardians of the Galaxy before The Avengers: Age of Ultron finishes the phase in 2015.
Guardians of the Galaxy isn’t exactly a household name or a proven success with fans of the genre, though it does provide an easy tie-in to the Thanos storyline of upcoming Avengers film. Only time and box office dollars will tell if this was a wise move or if Kevin Feige needs to be committed to an institution.
If phase three is to be the end of the current Marvel Cinematic Universe, then every entry is going to need to be a winner. While there certainly won’t be room for every film that we fans would like to see before this universe ends, here are 10 from which to choose that we feel could do phase three the justice that it so obviously deserves…
