5. Rape Is No Big Deal - Revenge of the Nerds

Revenge of the Nerds Don't get me wrong, I love the Revenge of the Nerds films, but it's hard to deny that this scene isn't a little on the wrong side, if absolutely a product of a less politically correct time where this sort of casual sexism was endorsed. There's a scene near the end of the cult classic where Lewis Skolnick dresses up like the local jock douchebag, Stan Gable, wearing his costume and mask and essentially rapes Stan's girlfriend Betty. She gives consent to have sex with Stan, but not Lewis, and apparently she can't tell the difference between them, either... So, Betty is raped by one of the nerds, but it's all a big joke in the end, and Betty ultimately drops Stan for the guy who raped her anyway! It promotes a pretty dodgy attitude about women and men's perception of them in general; who knows, you might just love a bit of rape after all!
