10 Planned Movie Sequels That Also Need To Be Terminated

8. World War Z 2

Scheduled Release Date: 9 June, 2017 World War Z was like a zombie movie that didn't really want to be a zombie movie, and so in this writer's book in was a major disappointment. Also: it resembled the fantastic book that it was based on - written by Max Brooks - in zero ways. That said, it made a fair amount of money at the box office, probably due to the fact that it starred a long-haired Brad Pitt in the lead role, and that was enough for Hollywood to say: "Let's get a sequel to this one going - with or without Pitt." Somewhat uncharacteristically, Brad Pitt actually signed on to star in the follow-up, which has pretty much ensured that - one of these days - it will start shooting. Probably. Thing is, World War Z isn't World War Z. If you've read the source material, you'll know that the film was World War Z in name only. Can you imagine how distant World War Z 2 will end up being from its origins, that being the case? Not to mention that, like with the first film, the gore and violence is likely to be played down or edited out, so what's the point? It's not too late for the studio to discard this one; a director is yet to sign on.
