10 Quentin Tarantino Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie

10. Maynard (Duane Whitaker) - Pulp Fiction

In a movie with no shortage of strange and unusual characters, Maynard stands out by virtue of the company he keeps: his best friends are Zed, a homicidal kidnapper/rapist and The Gimp, the S&M freak who sleeps in his basement. When Butch (Bruce Willis) and Marsellus (Ving Rhames) bring their fight into his store, Maynard doesn€™t panic or call the police, he just knocks the intruders out before getting on the blower to his buddy. €œSpider caught a couple of flies,€ he tells Zed, suggesting they€™re not exactly new to this game. Maynard is every horror movie redneck rolled into one, so it€™s appropriate that his pawn shop sells such implements of death as a baseball bat, a samurai sword and, of course, a chainsaw. Also apt is his death: he€™s killed by his own sword while watching Zed rape Marsellus.
