10 Questionable Reasons Why Actors Turned Down Big Roles

Selleck In my opinion, Tom Selleck does not understand why the medium of television exists for actors. It is a means to an end, a way to pay the bills while you're waiting for Hollywood to come calling. Because that's the ultimate dream, right? Movies. So when you get a once-in-a-lifetime offer to play Indiana Jones, but you're supposed to be filming Magnum PI, you bail like your life depends on it. Contracts are made to be broken. Having been forced to give up the role, he never quite got another big break to make up for the one he lost. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford has become one of the popular and highest grossing actors of the past 50 years. Them's the breaks.
