10 Really Dumb Moments In Otherwise Flawless Horror Films

OH COME ON!

Once a movie has been considered a classic for a long time, we often subconsciously think of it as being immune to criticism. Movies like Frankenstein, The Shining and The Exorcist are some of the greatest horror films ever made, and so there isn't too much to complain about with them, right? Never do you really hear these works of art discussed in a negative light, but in reality, even the best films aren't without their flaws. While revisiting some of the scariest horror movies ever around Halloween time, this will become extremely apparent. Certain films are remembered for kickstarting a subgenre, for their effective mood and characters, or for their innovative storyline, but that doesn't mean they're absolutely perfect on every level. There's still the occasional poorly written character, odd logic gap, or subpar special effect that suddenly rips you out of the experience. If you're a hardcore horror fan and rewatch the classics a lot, these are things that will stick out and bug you the most. Almost more frustrating than a completely stupid movie is a brilliant one with just one little thing that's off about it, but sadly, it will be a part of the movie forever.
