10 Reasons Marvel's Phase 3 Will Be Great

Marvel Phase 31 Never one to be outdone by their distinguished competition, this week it was Marvel's turn to share some major movie news. At Disney's El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, California, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige took the stage before a press assemblage to announce the studio's "Phase Three" - the films that will lead into (and include) the third Avengers movie. They are Captain America: Civil War (opening May 6, 2016), Doctor Strange (November 4, 2016), Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (May 5, 2017), Thor: Ragnarok (July 28, 2017), Black Panther (November 3, 2017), Avengers: Infinity War Part I (May 2018), Captain Marvel (July 6, 2018), Inhumans (November 2, 2018), and Avengers: Infinity War Part II (May 2019). Just like DC, Marvel released a half-decade's worth of scheduling, but this time, it's cause for celebration - Marvel has already proven itself as a film studio time after time. Far from being an unproven commodity hinging on a single film, it's a juggernaut that's earned the right to get experimental - and has a track record of doing it successfully. With quality writing, directing, and acting, Marvel has turned some unknown and unorthodox properties into hits that have generated hundreds of millions of dollars worth of revenue. It looks like they're getting ready to do the same again. Here are ten reasons why Marvel's film schedule is cause for celebration:
