10 Reasons Suicide Squad Sucked More Than Batman V Superman

7. The Rushed & Messy Opening

Suicide Squad opens with Amanda Waller basically performing an exposition dump, explaining to her colleagues who the members of the team are, while David Ayer cuts in some sloppily-edited flashbacks. It feels more like a series of YouTube videos than a continuous movie narrative.

It comes off as extremely rushed and probably the least-imaginative way possible to introduce the audience to these characters, getting the film off to a problematic start to say the least.

Compare that to BvS' opening, which shows the gorgeously-shot death of the Waynes and Bruce's perspective of the Superman-Zod Metropolis fight, and it's a no-brainer. One takes its time and unfurls information in a compelling manner, while the other feels hacked to pieces and, honestly, pretty lazy.
