2. We Want to See More Villains

It'd be nice if all those unsubstantiated internet rumours of yesteryear - Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Penguin, Leonardo DiCaprio/Guy Pearce/Neil Patrick Harris (above) as Riddler - were still possible within this Batman world. It's not that it'd be amazing to see those characters in themselves, but rather it'd be interesting to see how those characters are presented in Christopher Nolan's fantasy-light version of the world. We're getting Bane this time around and, though the reputations of Nolan and actor Tom Hardy have ensured relatively little outcry, he's hardly the villain the majority would have chosen to end this phenomenal series on. If this series calls time at number three we're never going to get to see how this continuity would handle many of Batman's much more interesting foes. Even the more outlandish baddies - like Killer Croc and Clayface - would be fun to see within this framework, with the tantalising question in each case being "how would they make it work?" It'd be a shame if we never got to see how. Which leads nicely onto the next point...
