10 Reasons We've Already Given Up On The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Is it just us who has an overwhelming dread about the direction Sony's web-slinging franchise appears to be headed?

As it gets closer and closer to The Amazing Spider-Man 2€™s world premiere in London on April 10th, many moviegoers and comic book fans are getting a sense of overwhelming dread about the direction Sony Picture€™s franchise appears to be headed. Major plot points have been seemingly spoiled by many of the film€™s teasers and trailers, and new production stills showcasing some of the movie€™s new character designs have been criticized and mocked around the Internet. Further emphasizing the bad vibes enveloping The Amazing Spider-Man 2, director Marc Webb is preemptively defending some of the film€™s questionable casting choices and its copious amount of villains. Considering the lukewarm reaction The Amazing Spider-Man received two years ago, Sony can€™t afford a major misstep with its sequel, especially as the studio gears up to create an entire universe of Spider-Man-centric movies built around characters like Venom and the Sinister Six. It is possible that all of the griping and cynicism is just a case of comic book fans being too persnickety and reactionary, but these following 10 entries are among the many reasons why some of us have already given up expecting anything worthwhile from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
