It has been over 40 years since Batman first appeared on television. The Adam West and Burt Ward starring show of the 60's was the first and last live action Batman TV show that has ever been made. Since then we have seen two more Superman series', a Superboy series, a Wonder Woman series, a Flash series and even a Birds of Prey series. There have also been two good Tim Burton directed Batman films, 3 great Christopher Nolan helmed Batman films and a fantastic Batman animated series, often regarded as the greatest animated series of all time. Batman is more popular than ever due to the success of the Nolan film trilogy, which has now sadly come to an end. We could be about to embark on a dark period in The Caped Crusader's history, but the darkest night is followed by the dawn. It is time for a new Batman.
