10. He Has Too Many Powers
This is probably the most common criticism I hear about the nature of Superman. It becomes increasingly more and more difficult to become engaged in him as a character when you know that he will never lose a battle or never even come close to losing. All of the greatest superheroes have some kind of disadvantage that is always plaguing them that lies just under the surface of every encounter they have. Superman is the only major superhero who doesn't have any handicaps. Let's recount the most known elements of his powers. He is a solar battery, he has superhuman strength, invulnerability, instant healing, flight, superhuman speed, X-ray vision, superhuman intelligence, eidetic memory, heat vision, superhuman breath, hearing and vision as well as being a master combatant. He is almost laughably over the top in some scenarios and this, ironically, gives him a very boring factor because there is never any suspense involved in his character.
