10 Recent Movies Certified Fresh On Rotten Tomatoes (That Everybody Ignored)

Fresh movies awaiting your approval.

The gap between critical and audience approval has always been fairly pronounced, but it seems more than ever that what audiences want to see doesn't reflect the views of the critical consensus. For example: Snowpiercer, one of the biggest hits with critics last year, was a box office bomb, making just shy of $4 million in the US. Still, the film did manage to do solid business abroad, with a $59 million take in South Korea alone; so if that's a 'failure', then the ten films listed here were absolute, apocalypse-level disasters at the box office. To put things into context, Jurassic World in a single weekend just grossed $511 million worldwide, which is 33 times as much as all the movies listed here combined over their entire theatrical runs. So, while the 'everybody' of the title might be a slight exaggeration, it's still depressingly close to the truth. While the phenomenally successful Jurassic World has received mixed reviews from critics, all the box office duds listed here were Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. But even if the following films tanked in theatres, they're now more widely available across home video formats. Here are ten Certified Fresh movies from 2014 and 2015 that are more than worthy of your time, even if they didn't prove to be draws on release.
