10 Ridiculously Overused Movie Locations

1. Golden Gate Bridge

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw7K6zg3fhI The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most iconic locations on the face of the Earth, and naturally has been the stage for the finales of numerous high-profile films, such as A View to a Kill (who can forget the bridge fight?), Monsters vs. Aliens (again, destroyed), Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and most epically, X-Men: The Last Stand, where Magneto ridiculously lifts the bridge up and connects it to Alcatraz. golden gaete bridge The bridge has also been featured as a backdrop and establishing shot in innumerable films, and has even been featured in low-budget indies like...Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. rise of the planet of the apes Is the Golden Gate Bridge an awesome location? Of course, that's why film productions continue to shoot there, but aren't we all just a bit fed up of seeing it get blown up, thrown around and otherwise destroyed? How's about changing it up and at least picking another bridge in the area? Granted, they're going to struggle to match the GGB's majesty, but I think we need to retire its use for a little while, because when a disaster film depicts the GGB getting ruined, I tend to sigh and laugh rather than feel exhilarated; it is so overdone.
