10 Serious Movie Moments That Are Unintentionally Hilarious

4. "Nooooo" - Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith

I fondly remember sitting in the cinema, being totally enthralled by Star Wars Episode III, pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the car wreck that the previous two films were, and then, George Lucas struck with a classic Lucas mistake that completely undid a lot of the good work he'd just set about doing.

The entire point of Episodes 1-3 was to build towards the inevitable moment when Anakin Skywalker would become Darth Vader, and in Episode III, it really seemed to come together, as Anakin came to realises that his rage essentially killed Padme. So, Vader, worn from battle and now kitted out in his Vader duds, gets a pretty awesome reveal, but it all goes wrong when he asks about Padme and finds out she's died.

His response? To scream "Noooooo" in the most stagey, ridiculously over-the-top fashion possible. I suppose, really, we should direct our blame at James Earl Jones more than anyone, but hey, Lucas could have had the line re-dubbed, given how pivotal it is in the film.
